Jay Community Center / Boomer Sports offers Boomer T-Ball in the Summer each year. T-Ball is an excellent introductory sport for both baseball & softball. It provides each player an opportunity to perfect their skills of the game in a safe & fun environment.

Boomer Instructional T-Ball

Open to Boys & Girls from Jay County & Surrounding Communities

Season June thru Mid-July (signup by early May)

Overview
The Boomer Instructional T-Ball program is for boys and girls ages 4 to 6 years old beginning in June and running through early July. It is a fun instructional type setting for the children introducing them to the game of baseball & softball. Children will learn the beginning stages of throwing, hitting and fielding as well as the primary rules of the game of baseball & softball.

Each boy and girl bats every inning giving them the opportunity to hit the ball off of a tee and run the base paths. The field play is an exciting time for the kids as they attempt to retrieve the ball and get the runner out.  Children also enjoy wearing the insignias of major league teams which are replicated on their shirts and hats. The Summer Boomer Instruction T-Ball League is an excellent way to introduce these players to the game of baseball & softball.
