History

The Jay County Boys Club was founded in 1953. From the inception as a place for youth of the community to gather and participate in positive activities, the Community Center has developed into an attraction for the entire Jay County Community – One that serves thousands every year. It remained the Jay County Boys Club until 2004 when the name and the building got a new look. In 2004 the Jay Community Center had its grand opening for the new addition – two more full basketball courts, a new fitness area, and a new walking track. Since its opening, the staff at the community center has worked very hard to bring more youth programs to the Center as well as offer Boomer Basketball Tournaments for teams all over Indiana and the surrounding states.
